Update November 2024

November 12, 2024

WHAT’S NEW:

We have arrived at a significant milestone for our facilities renewal project! The extensive work that has been done during this pre-bid phase will ensure that Members’ investment in the project is spent wisely. You will notice your current Wing Point statement reflects your selected assessment commitment. These funds allow us to:

  • Pay incurred project costs
  • Pay for ongoing project costs including architecture, civil engineering, land use, and environmental impact studies
  • Allow us to continue to progress and remain flexible during permitting process
  • Earn interest which is calculated into our per member assessment amounts

Wing Point has created a segregated, interest-bearing account, for the sole purpose of this project. Project funds will not be comingled with club operations accounts.

Three elements make up the difference between the assessment amount ($7.75 million) and the total project budget ($8.5 million):

  1. Existing cash on club balance sheet
  2. Member donations which have been identified
  3. Interest earned on initial assessment payments

Thank you to those who have made payments so far through our club billing system. If you need further assistance in making a payment, please contact Sofia Ottow

at sofiao@wingpointgolf.com or call 206.842.2688 ext. 212

WHAT’S IN PROGRESS:

  • Collection of upfront assessment payments
  • Preparation with architect for Design Review Board Hearing #2 with the city of Bainbridge Island
  • Value engineering, design review, and preparation of construction documents in advance of formal permit and application submittal in December

WHAT’S NEXT:

Once we receive approval from the Bainbridge Island Design Review Board, the project documents will be made available for solicitation of multiple contractor bids. These will be ‘guaranteed maximum bids,’ with the project cost not to exceed the $8.5 million budget.
